Thurlow Nunn Gears Up For A Brand New Football Season

A very special guest was in attendance

The team at our Thurlow Nunn dealership in Norwich is gearing up for yet another exciting year of football following a coveted Thurlow Nunn League Football Awards Ceremony.

To celebrate last year’s achievements and build excitement for the highly anticipated season ahead, all football teams in the Thurlow Nunn League were invited to an evening of dinner and dancing. Not only that, there was a very special guest in attendance; popstar Olly Murs.

The evening saw the winning teams of each division presented with trophies for a number of achievements, including Premier Division Champions, Premier Division Runners Up and League Challenge Cup.

To add to the occasion, pop star and football fanatic, Olly Murs, came all the way from Los Angeles to represent his team at the annual event. Olly, who is the co-owner of Coggleshall Town FC, saw his team crowned 2018 champions of the Thurlow Nunn Premier League at the awards evening.

Joined by Olly, the Coggeshall Town team was presented with the trophy by Thurlow Nunn Director, Gary Osborn. Gary said: “We are immensely proud to sponsor the League and it is a pleasure to see how it brings so many smiles to players and fans across the Eastern counties. I would like to thank Olly for coming all the way to Norwich to join us and of course congratulations to the Coggeshall team on their great achievement.”

Chairmen of the Thurlow Nunn League, Peter Hutchings added: “I would like to give a special thank you to Thurlow Nunn for hosting such a great event and sponsoring such an exciting League. Congratulations to all the teams who have taken part this season; it’s been filled with some thrilling games.”

The Thurlow Nunn Football League is competed at by levels 9 and 10 players who are a part of the English football league system and consists of clubs in the Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Eastern Cambridgeshire areas. The League also acts as a feeder to Division One of the North of the Isthmian League.

We would like to take the opportunity to wish all the teams involved in the league the best of luck for the season ahead.
