What Is the New Electric Car Grant?

 

  • Up to £3,750 off the price of brand new fully electric cars (not hybrids)
  • Available for cars priced up to £37,000
  • Grant is applied automatically at the point of sale, no paperwork needed for buyers
  • Applies to eligible models from manufacturers who meet government sustainability targets

 

Am I Eligible?

 

The scheme is open to everyone purchasing a new qualifying electric car, whether you’re buying outright or leasing. The amount you receive depends on how green the vehicle is:

  • Most sustainable EVs: up to £3,750 discount
  • Other eligible models: up to £1,500
  • Manufacturers must show a strong environmental commitment, so you can be confident the vehicles you’re considering are at the
  • forefront of eco technology.

 

Which Cars Qualify for the Grant at Thurlow Nunn?

 

Thurlow Nunn offers a wide selection of eligible EVs across top brands, including:

Vauxhall, Peugeot, MG, Hyundai and the recently launched Leapmotor.

When Can I Claim the Grant?

 

The grant starts from Wednesday, 16 July 2025, and is funded until the 2028/29 financial year, or until government funds run out. Act
