I took delivery of a used Mercedes E-class at about 1pm today .2 hours later , I noticed 3 small splits in the offside rear leather seat. Although I previously looked around the car, I didn’t see the faults; it was difficult to spot unless you had a very close look , and it was never pointed out by sales staff. When I complained to a sales manager,(I was informed Sam Tomlinson), he said I should have pointed it out earlier. I said also said that as I didn’t notice it because the faults were so small, but it was their responsibility to highlight any faults or wear; had that been the case I would not have accepted the car unless it was repaired. He said that no company would go to the trouble. I replied any honest company would deal with it, but he patronised me saying you I could go to the ombudsman. I said that his attitude was disgusting and how did he sleep at night. Please see the photo, you will need to enlarge the image.

I had David look after me in Great Yarmouth and I couldn’t fault him one bit, from the get go he was so helpful, very kind and answered any questions I had, the car had some new parts put on and he made sure he drove the car round the block to make sure it was 100% perfect ready for collection, he sorted the tax out as it was a disability car, he has sorted out my retention for my private plate as I had no clue what to do, I received regular emails updating me along the way, and he asked if I wanted updated whilst I was away on holiday. During collection he explained everything with things I needed to know, if anyone is to buy a car from them in Great Yarmouth I would absolutely recommend David. Thank you David for everything!

Very professional service from dropping the car off to picking it up. I was kept informed, sent a video of the car being worked on, and was notified when it was ready. My car needed major work on the engine which I knew was going to cost a large amount of money. I arranged a book in day in advance but had several questions before hand which were resolved on each call quickly and with a positive outcome. The book in process was quick and easy and I was even told the failed component was covered under warranty. I was kept informed throughout the whole time my car was in for repair which was completed in a very speedy time. Great service and support mostly from the lady on the service desk who I believe was named Sarah. Thank you.
I received a phone call for my car's MOT and service. It was booked in very quickly. Then from dropping the car off and picking it up i found their customer service to be knowledgeable, efficient and extremely friendly. I was also booked in at the same time for a brakes check in a few months time. I felt the whole process was very professional.
Very friendly , helpful , was able to answer all questions easily and honestly , made me feel comfortable and goes out of their way to help you . Very understanding of financial situation still offered to help . I loved the car but not the price as when you put in the registration it came back that the net worth of the car always a lot lower than whey your selling it for . It's a fab car but if it was more inline with the valuation then I could buy the car with no finance. But it came in just under £6,000 but your selling for just under £10,000. If it was £6,000 I could have bought it along with the trade for mine no problem. I have an idea to get round this with you when I come to re test drive the car. So fingers crossed . Would like to see Charlie again as he was really nice .

I went to test drive a car and was met by Shaun who was very welcoming and friendly (and offered me a coffee). I was trading in my older car for a much newer one and I wasn't made to feel like my car wasn't good enough as I have with other car sales companies. I was shown round the car and I how to use all the gadgets and the digital dash with patience and I was not made to feel like it was a chore. I didn't feel rushed or pushed to decide if I definitely wanted the car or not and time was not an issue, not a pushy sales rep, gave you all the time you needed. Completing the paperwork was smooth and everything was explained clearly. There was a very pleasant atmosphere in the showroom and the experience for me was excellent and I would recommend this branch.
My husband and i went to look for cars for myself wasn't sure what I really liked. We met Lewis a very polite young man told him we were looking at cars for myself Asked what I looked told him. He went got both sets of keys to both vehicles I liked but in the mean time I had decided on one because of heated seat 🤣. Took for a test drive obviously bought and there absolutely no pressure from Lewis. All the arrangements we decided together which was really nice. The videos to say what was happening and the car was ready to pick up in the pouring rain 🤣 makes more of a personal/professional touch. I strongly advise avoiding this company. They have significantly overcharged my brother for routine work carried out during his car service. He was billed nearly £300 for a coil spring replacement — a job that typically costs around £120–£150 for a Vauxhall Corsa. On top of that, they charged £120 for a track rod end ball joint, which usually costs between £40–£90 — and it was on the same side as the coil spring! In total, he was charged £531 for work that should have been far more reasonably priced. Very disappointing and feels like clear overcharging.
I actually live in Norwich but was visiting Great Yarmouth at the time and just popped in to see what cars they had available. I had already visited the garage in Norwich and had found a car I liked and was going to purchase it but whilst being in the GY garage I saw the same model of car which I preferred more so I purchased it. I had a great guy called David who went through the whole procedure of selling me the car and he explained everything to me brilliantly. The whole experience was a delight and would definitely use their services again.
Took delivery of a new Peugeot 208 a week or so ago and while driving to Norfolk at night, it was obvious my headlights were not set correctly as I was getting continual flashing from oncoming drivers While in Great Yarmouth, I popped into Thurlow Nunn and despite them not being a Peugeot/Citroen dealer the service I got from des and the team went above and beyond what was to be expected The team checked my headlights which it appears were set too high in the factory/at PDI and adjusted them to an acceptable level - all at no cost Car dealers take a knocking sometimes but this cracking example of customer service deserves to be shared. They don't over promise, allow you to make a choice. Buts it's a choice enabled by experience and confidence. After being let down by another dealer & waiting for almost six weeks for my chosen used car, I decided instead to visit Thurlow Nunn on the off chance without an appointment. So refreshing to be greeted by Charlie who proceeded to show me around the forecourt, in the pouring rain. In no time at all, while I was there, he found me the perfect car. All the paperwork was sorted there and then and I collected my car the following morning. I would have no hesitation in recommending Charlie and the team at Thurlow Nunn.

Had an issue with central locking system on my car I purchased in January. Took a little while to get resolved but thurlow were honest and kept trying until eventually sorting the issue on the third attempt. Even providing a courtesy car so I wasn't without a car during the few days it was in the workshop. Just had my MOT and service this week. Happy with the service provided and info on advisories from the MOT, would highly recommend.
Highly recommend Thurlow Nunn Gt Yarmouth. Have been a regular customer for years. Very good customer care. Always contact you if issue with car and explain the problem. Very clear on their pricing before any job. Polite and helpful. Also with MOT you receive a years worth of recovery. When car has been in their garage it is always returned after being cleaned inside and out. They usually have the jobs completed on the same day. The only time i couldnt collect my car they stored it overnight in their secure car park. Always a great service delivered by the business - would not use any other garage

I felt very comfortable at Thurlow. Although I did not get as much as I would have liked on the trade in, I felt that my request for a fair deal was met. Booked my car in for a service and MOT, turned up this morning at 8am as per the booking to be told I was not booked in. I showed them the confirmation but they said I had been booked in for 29/3 instead - no one told me this. I wasn’t the only person this happened to, 3 people in total arrived at 8am to be told they wasn’t booked in. Lady wasn’t interested in resolving just advised it wasn’t her fault and there was nothing she could do. Would not recommend this place to anyone
After my car had been written-off I was keen to replace it with a good second-hand car. Research had found a suitable replacement at Thurlow Nunn in Great Yarmouth. I was delighted with the service I was offered, given ample time and information with all options outlined. I was able to take the car away immediately and booked a time for minor damage repair. Very quick service! Was told may not get the car until the followong day but had my car back by the end of the day they looked at it! A breath of fresh air after 2 months of messing about with other garages not knowing the issue.

Absolutely useless tried ordering a brand-new car was told someone would call me back for an appointment In 15 minutes, To arrange an appointment I called back 2 1/2 hours later to be told the same again four days later I still haven’t had any contact. I’ve taken my business elsewhere. Disgusting customer service takes 30 seconds for a phone call to say I’m ever sorry we haven’t got in contact with you, but we will get back to you as soon as we can.
We were looking for the perfect dogbus for our dogs. We saw one online a Ford Tourneo with all the seats out in this garage. We enquired online and could not fault the help and advice we got from David Pratt. He was honest and answered all of our questions. It was 400 miles away so we had to trust him. It was bought and paid for before we went, we were not disappointed. I had no issues with the first service of our corsa. It was a waiting appointment and they put our car in first to be done. Lots of available coffee and seating so all great. The service staff are all friendly and offered to get get coffee for you. I would like to say is Thurlow Nunn let your staff use the coffee machine.

I had my Grandlander booked in for a service but mistakenly booked it on my wife's birthday. When I checked the car in at 8am , I was advised that I would get a call anytime up to 5pm. All my mistake but that really impacted on our planned day. I explained and the Service Manager promised that they would do their very best to turn it around asap. I had a call by 10.30am to say it was done . Exceptional customer service, I can’t thank the Great Yarmouth Thurlow Nunn Team enough. I called into Thurlow Nunn just to check out some Motability Vehicles and see what was available. They didn't have what I wanted to test drive in an electric automatic but the sales woman called Amy very kindly offered to let me test drive her own personal electric automatic car. The mere fact that I was able to drive it and get a feel for it totally got me hooked, so I went on to buy a Vauxhall Mokka electric automatic car, so thank you for the great service Amy Hinton. I will be definitely recommending you to others for the first class service I have received at point of sale.

As always, First Class service at Thurlow Nunn. Our current Motability vehicle, was all dealt with by James Harvey, and on this last visit, we went into Thurlow Nunn to arrange another vehicle. The first time James was So Polite, So Helpful, and just a Thoroughly Nice Guy, nothing was too much trouble. This visit was No Different, when we arrived, he greeted us, and asked if we would like a drink, we asked him for Hot Chocolate, and he went and got my Wife & Myself a cup each. From there, James was yet again, So Helpful, So Polite, and he couldn't have done any more than he did, to make us feel like relaxed etc. I give Thurlow Nunn, Especially James Harvey 10/10 Perfect.

I took my car infor MOT. The clerk was waiting for me. I explained one fault. He checked my phone number. I left my key. I got a phone call at the stated time. I attended. My fault was explained and I was given all my pPerwork. All very smooth. No problems thank you.

We bought our Vauxhall Insignia from Thurlow Nunn at Great Yarmouth last year and have been very pleased with all aspects of the purchase and subsequent service. We also enrolled in one of the service plans and have found this aspect very useful. Thurlow Nunn were initially recommended to us by a friend, we in turn have passed on our recommendation to friends and family.
Sam was very helpful and let me look round the car in my own time, and test drive myself. Nice to not be pressured to make a decision. Very good experience so far.
Great family business offering the old fashioned way of trading, you can speak to people rather than "BOTS" see what you are getting if unsure. The major car clearance online companies are just clearance houses for the major car distributors who haven't heard of old fashioned service, if you don't communicate through Technology platforms they do not know how to deal with you. Give me old fashioned style of trading any day and dealing with James has been a pleasure. There is an old saying that "Easy buying is easy selling"

Scammers! Don’t bother going there to get a car, the branch manager is so arrogant it’s unreal!! Bought a van there for £20,000 and then 9 months later, bunch of issues! Claiming they knew nothing about it. See you in court!

My experience was a great one. The guy who attended to me was super amazing. He was receptive, so willing to help, and listens carefully to my conversations.
We had a well rehearsed speech re the implications of not taking out extra warranty, a derisory offer for our trade-in (said all alloys were scratched when the car had plastic hub caps!)and was laughed at when asked if there was any discount available on extended warranty packages. Car was well presented and as advertised. Not an enjoyable experience and would not recommend Great Yarmouth Thurlow Nunn to anyone.Sold our old car privately in excess of 3x what Thurlow Nunn offered,2 days later
My last visit was to change my car, and the service I received from Kevin and Sam was excellent Sam found me the vehicle that I wanted and at the right price that I wanted to pay part exchange, I always have had excellent service from Kevin and his sales advisors.
I called about a car in warranty that won't start. I was told to recover to the premises and it will be looked at the next day. Now being told it can't be looked at for 2 weeks, no courtesy car, no explanation on whether I will be re-imbursed for hire, and told it's my fault for recovering it there despite being told to by the branch staff themselves - so if I follow your direct instructions and promises it's my fault? Terrible business. Family of 3 left having to spend £1000+ on car hire, a few hundred more on recovery and diagnostics road side due to negligence, not understanding their own warranty terms and lack of accountability. If I want it fixed somewhere else I will have to pay further recover fees and costs for repairs!
James was very helpful and either answered or got the answer to my questions. I now have an appointment with him to hopefully take the next steps to buy a car. Update, so the car i was interested in had been sold, but ended up buying a similar model and spec but for £1500 more and higher mileage too. The special event didn’t lead to any special deal at all.
I like to give praise where it’s due, Mr Tomlinson in Sales was very helpful and open/honest with me regarding a vehicle. Even though I didn’t pursue the vehicle, I would consider buying from here again in the future. Please pass my thanks onto Mr Tomlinson.
