Available from £199 per month* Introducing the All New Vauxhall Corsa

All-New Vauxhall Corsa

The Vauxhall Corsa is a great choice for motorists requiring a hatchback that’s easy to drive and inexpensive to run. It’s a striking and practical vehicle, with four trim levels to choose from, including the well-equipped entry-level Design and the top-of-the range Ultimate, which boasts everything you could possibly need for a fun, immersive drive. Whether you’re young, free and single, a busy parent or a business user, the Corsa is certainly worth including on your shortlist of accomplished hatchback candidates.

Irrespective of which trim you choose, the Vauxhall Corsa is the sort of car that looks at home on any driveway. Highlights include minimum-size 16-inch alloy wheels as standard, which offer sporty appeal that is complemented on the inside by the flat-bottomed leather-clad steering wheel. And this practical hatchback provides welcome four-door access, too, making it easy for rear-seated passengers to get in and out.

Of course, the higher the trim you select, the more comprehensive the tech. Nevertheless, the entry-level SE grade comes well-appointed, including LED headlights that feature high-beam assist, which automatically adjusts headlight intensity according to external conditions. Several must-have driver aids come as standard too. For example, Lane-departure Warning (LDW) will alert you whenever the car starts to drift out of lane, while Lane Assist will autonomously ensure that you stay on your intended trajectory.

The Corsa’s SE, SRi and Elite trims are fitted with a seven-inch colour infotainment touchscreen. This is in addition to six speakers and DAB radio, the latter offering more than 50 stations broadcasting in crystal-clear sound quality. Also featured as standard is Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, allowing you to safely and easily access your smartphone and its contents.

The Vauxhall Corsa offers four engine options. SE grades are fitted with a 1.2-litre 74bhp petrol unit, which delivers up to 53.3mpg while producing CO2 emissions from 118g/km. The most fuel-efficient, choice for long journeys is a 1.5-litre 100bhp diesel engine, which returns as much as 70.6mpg and produces emissions as low as 105g/km. Meanwhile, models fitted with a 1.2-litre 128bhp petrol unit offer the most punch, sprinting from 0-60mph in a little more than eight seconds, and reaching a top speed of 129mph.

The fifth-generation Corsa is more comfortable than ever – and more luxurious. This is in no small part due to a brand-new chassis which keeps exterior noises to a minimum. Even when travelling at high speeds, the car’s connection with the road barely makes an impression on its occupants.

The latest-generation Vauxhall Corsa is supplied with numerous passive and active safety features. In the former category, airbags are provided for the driver and front-seat passenger, while front-seat side-impact and full-size curtain airbags are also included. ISOFIX child-seat attachments are fitted in the rear of the car – as are child-proof doors.

We’ve already talked about the benefits of LDW but there are plenty more driving aids included as standard, such as Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB). This smart piece of tech helps prevent low-speed collisions, which is particularly useful whenever you’re navigating busy city streets.
