Peugeot electric car charging costs
Looking to buy a new car? If so, you may well be considering making an electric car your next vehicle of choice.
If you have never owned an electric vehicle before however, this can feel like a big step. One reason for this is that you may not have a good idea of the costs associated with charging an electric vehicle.
You won’t be used to charging your car at home or at a public charging station, so getting your head around the costs associated with this is important.
One of the most popular ranges of electric car on the market comes from Peugeot. Here at Thurlow Nunn, we have a brilliant selection of Peugeot electric cars available to buy, and we can also give you an idea of the cost of charging these brilliant vehicles.
Electric charging compared to petrol
When buying an electric car, it’s natural to have some concerns about how you are going to run it and what this will cost.
You may have visions of your electricity bill going through the roof each month. But the good news is that electric car charging is generally far cheaper than filling your car with petrol. Electric cars therefore not only produce lower emissions, but their operating costs can be significantly lower.
At Thurlow Nunn, we have a special algorithm that gives you an idea of charging costs for the Peugeot electric cars, and electric cars from other brands, that we stock:
Energy rate (kw/h) x battery capacity
At the moment, you can enjoy an overnight energy rate of 8p per kw/h. This means the overall cost of fully charging an electric vehicle can be easily calculated based on the battery size.
Charging Peugeot Electric Cars
The Peugeot E-208 has a battery capacity of 51kWh, meaning a full charge would cost £4.08 based on our algorithm.
The Peugeot E-3008 has a battery capacity of 75kWh, so a full charge would cost £6.
Meanwhile the Peugeot e-Rifter has a battery with a capacity of 50kWh. This means to fully charge this vehicle would cost £4.
The Peugeot E-2008 has a battery capacity of 50.8kWh, meaning a full charge would cost £4.06, while Peugeot E-308, has a battery capacity of 51kWh, with a full charge therefore costing £4.08.
Model | Battery Capacity | Cost of full electric charge | Electric range |
