Energy rate (kw/h) x battery capacity

It is possible to get an overnight energy rate of 8p per kw/h at present, so this makes it possible to easily calculate the overall cost of fully charging an electric vehicle based on the battery size.

MG Electric Cars

MG has a host of great electric car options at affordable price points, helping people take the leap into electric car ownership.

The MG ZS EV, MG MG4 EV, MG MG4 EV XPOWER and MG MG5 EV are all excellent electric car models today, giving drivers a great driving experience with electricity powering things.

The MG ZS has a 51.1kWh lithium-ion battery, meaning that the cost of charging this car to a full range of 163 miles, would cost £4.08 based on our algorithm

The MG MG4 has the same sized battery but a range of 185 miles, while the MG MG5 has a battery with a 61.1kWh capacity and a range of around 205 miles. This means to fully charge the MG MG5 EV, the cost would be £4.88.

As the name suggests, the MG MG4 EV XPOWER has a larger 64 kWh battery. This means that the cost of a full electric charge would be £5.12.
