Sales, Marketing & Estimating Administrator | Thurlow Nunn

Balsham Buildings Ltd are currently looking to recruit an administrator for their Sales Marketing and Estimating Department. This will be a full time role, working with 3 estimators and a Director. This is a busy department working to tight deadlines for return of tenders. Accuracy and speed is very important.


  • Take receipt of new enquiries, print of as necessary and input details onto record system.
  • Prepare packages and send out enquiries for material and other supplier quotations.
  • Send out tender packages (prepared by others)
  • Follow up on tenders by telephone and email, to find out the status of the tender.
  • Infill PQQ’s
  • Keep tender lists and records up to date.
  • Maintain Tender filing system.
  • Assisting the Director in the preparation of monthly reports.
  • Working with other departments where necessary.
  • Holiday cover for other admin staff.

Working hours

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
  • One hour lunch break

Candidate requirements


  • Computer literate
  • Good telephone manner
  • Self-motivated
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good teamwork skills


  • Microsoft Word, Excel, powerpoint and project experience
  • Construction experience

On the job training will be given to enable the right candidate to develop the required skill set.
