Following our successful intake of 13 apprentices in September 2018 we are recruiting our next cohort of apprentices for September 2019.
As a Thurlow Nunn apprentice, you will be employed full-time for the duration of your apprenticeship programme, so whilst you are learning you will also be earning!
What you will do in your working day:
On a day-to-day basis you will work with our experienced team, learning all aspects of the dealership’s various customer service roles. Initially you will be shadowing another team member but as you learn and develop skills you will be able to complete certain tasks yourself. Your core responsibility will be to provide a high-quality level of service to customers; face-to-face, over the phone and digitally.
These may be one-off or routine contacts and include dealing with bookings, payments, offering advice, guidance and support, meet-and-greet, sales, fixing problems, after care, service recovery or gaining insight through measuring customer satisfaction.
You may be the first point of contact and your actions will influence the customers’ experience and their satisfaction with our company. You will demonstrate excellent customer service skills and behaviours as well as product and/or service knowledge when delivering to your customers. You will provide customer service in line with the company’s customer service standards and strategy and within appropriate regulatory requirements.
The training you will be getting:
The Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship Programme will take 12-18 months to complete and you will achieve an NVQ level 2 in Customer Service.
The training will take place through a combination of work-based learning, web-based training, virtual classroom training and regular visits at the dealership by a trainer.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship:
As well as gaining practical work experience you will be studying for a nationally recognised qualification. We hope that you will stay with us once the apprenticeship is complete to be a part of the forever expanding Thurlow Nunn family and for the chance of career progression across the many roles within the automotive industry.
What are the requirements?
You will be required to have, or predicted to obtain, GCSEs at grades A*-C / 9-4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
You must be eager to learn, able to take instruction and use your own initiative.
